Scaffold and Shoring Engineer – Structural Full Time

Role Description
Cascadian currently has an opening for a full-time Scaffold and Shoring Engineer position. The role involves designing and analyzing scaffolding and shoring systems to support construction projects for various building types. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with project teams, field inspection of scaffolding and shoring systems, and conducting site assessments. The engineer will work collaboratively with scaffold suppliers, consultants, architects, and contractors to deliver cost efficient solutions.

Qualifications
• Experience and competency in handling scaffolding systems and shoring design, as well as in working with confined spaces
• Knowledge of safety practices, including Working at Height, Fall Protection, and Confined Space guidelines
• Relevant certifications such as CSCS or equivalent are strongly desired
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structural engineering skills
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
• A bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
• P.Eng. registration is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry is an asset
