The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for the inspection and verification of all steel material related Telecom infrastructure in accordance with all relevant purchasing, engineering, and project specific requirements. Â Other duties such as regular communication with fabrication manager, foreman, project managers and director of fabrication related to quality trends and issues identified. This individual works closely with fabrication personnel and other key disciplines to continually improve the quality of fabricated products.

Job Duties
Perform basic inspections on all fabricated parts based on project specific requirements.
Inspections of weldments based on established procedures.
Report identified non-conformances to management team as soon as they occur.
Educate fabrication team on quality issues identified and work with management team on quality improvement processes.

Requirements
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction, or appropriate field experience considered an asset.
Min (3-5) year manufacturing inspection experience or quality control inspection experience
Ability to read and interpret build specifications, blueprints, and as-builds.
Receptive to change – can adapt to changing circumstances.
Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current.
Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of welding inspection procedures and requirements considered an asset.
Ability to work in a team environment with a minimum of supervision.
Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
Time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
